Jefferson Villacruz
Jefferson Villacruz, born on September 4, 1987, in Isabela, completed his education at the College of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Painting. During his student years, he embarked on a career as a Digital Imaging Artist at the UP Diliman Information Office (UPDIO), a position he still holds. In this role, he undertakes graphic design tasks for various University projects, including the UP Academic Calendar, UPD journal, UPD notebooks, and the UAAP program. He is also responsible for creating media materials for institutional events such as Diliman Month, Linggo ng Parangal, General Commencement Exercises, and Lantern Parade.
Through his dedication, Jefferson was promoted to the role of Audio Visual Equipment Operator III, where he serves as an assistant photographer and videographer, while also maintaining the UPD website. He independently acquired skills in creating websites using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). His responsibilities include updating and editing information, data, events, and news before uploading them to the UPD website.
Currently, Jefferson holds a permanent position as a Photographer at UPDIO. Despite not being able to fully pursue his passion for painting, he actively participates in group exhibitions and takes on commissioned works, ranging from paintings and drawings to murals.
